for some reason after all of these months i feel compelled to update. so here is my randomly ordered list of things that have been going on.





the fest is this weekend. i have a pass because i'm volunteering at one of the shows.

i'm excited about the show that i'll be working although the rest of it is going to be very annoying. have i mentioned how much i hate fests?

i've been working a lot. well not really that much. just full time with occaisional saturdays but it feels like a lot. i got a job doing wood framing on custom homes and i've learned a lot. i've also developed a bit of a tool buying habit, although i've pretty much upgraded all of my hand tools so i should be done soon. then i'll be back to my usual musical instrument habit.

in other work news i've managed to shoot myself with a nail gun and get my finger caught in a circular saw within about a week of each other. both instances were very scary although i made it out fine. the nail was no big deal and the finger is doing fine although the healing process is kind of slow. i definitly got lucky with the saw. safety first. safety first. safety first.

there is a lady who makes me very happy right now.

i'll be going to ft myers next wednesday after work. i'll be staying until sunday. in that day i'll be somehow managing to do family stuff, work for two days and see as many people as humanly possible. i'll also be getting a new bike. all very exciting. i will also be home for a week or maybe two around christman. i miss my friends back home

i really want to quit smoking. i'm thinking that may also entail giving up drinking for a while since the two go hand in hand. the drinking part will be very easy. i've only been out maybe once a week for the past month or so and i haven't really had much desire to drink when i have. getting up at 5 AM does that to me. other than that it's just smoking at work, which i tend to do in downtime or when something is stressful. i think i can manage to find a replacement for that though.

currents is moving along nicely. one or two more songs to finish vocals on and we'll be ready to start playing shows. i can't wait.

i've listened to 4 U2 songs over and over again today and come to the realiseation that i need to get the rest of "October" very soon.

and i also need to find another job.

and i also need to go home for a week so maybe i should put off finding another job for one more week

now where's dave miller with that U2 cd?

and i'm wide awake...and i want to play guitar really loud.
think the neighbors will be pissed if i blast them out of bed on a sunday morning? ok i'll just pretend.

damn i love this show. i really do. its just so...pshhhhhhh

CLOVIS, N.M. - A call about a possible weapon at a middle school prompted police to put armed officers on rooftops, close nearby streets and lock down the school. All over a giant burrito.

Someone called authorities Thursday after seeing a boy carrying something long and wrapped into Marshall Junior High.

The drama ended two hours later when the suspicious item was identified as a 30-inch burrito filled with steak, guacamole, lettuce, salsa and jalapenos and wrapped inside tin foil and a white T-shirt.

"I didn't know whether to laugh or cry," school Principal Diana Russell said.

State police, Clovis police and the Curry County Sheriff's Department arrived at the school shortly after 8:30 a.m. They searched the premises and determined there was no immediate danger.

In the meantime, more than 30 parents, alerted by a radio report, descended on the school. Visibly shaken, they gathered around in a semi-circle, straining their necks, awaiting news.

"There needs to be security before the kids walk through the door," said Heather Black, whose son attends the school.

After the lockdown was lifted but before the burrito was identified as the culprit, parents pulled 75 students out of school, Russell said.

Russell said the mystery was solved after she brought everyone in the school together in the auditorium to explain what was going on.

"The kid was sitting there as I'm describing this (report of a student with a suspicious package) and he's thinking, 'Oh, my gosh, they're talking about my burrito.'"

Afterward, eighth-grader Michael Morrissey approached her.

"He said, 'I think I'm the person they saw,'" Russell said.

The burrito was part of Morrissey's extra-credit assignment to create commercial advertising for a product.

"We had to make up a product and it could have been anything. I made up a restaurant that specialized in oddly large burritos," Morrissey said.

After students heard the description of what police were looking for, he and his friends began to make the connection. He then took the burrito to the office.

"The police saw it and everyone just started laughing. It was a laughter of relief," Morrissey said.

"Oh, and I have a new nickname now. It's Burrito Boy."

i've decided to devote this week to the art of napping

day off of work. wasn't supposed to be but i turned it into that. sweet

probably should go do something but i'm afraid i'll spend money which is something i've been doing a lot lately. too much.
maybe i can manage to squeeze another nap in somewhere. that would be sweet.

and mine is here. don't get me wrong. i can't wait to go back on the road. and i love all that the world has to offer. but it feels good to be here in ft myers.


today i got back from gainesville. my parents were home and they had my nephew here. we chased each other up and down the stairs. then i went to my brothers house and saw him and my sister in law for a bit. then i went and met up with tara and mixed antifreeze. then i went and saw hung out with corey who is now snoreing in the chair recliner in my room. its been a good day. i got to spend time, if only a small amount, with most of the people in my life that really mean something to me.

it was a good way to cap off a very good week.

and this snoreing thing has got to stop because its getting worse.

pretty eventful day by gainesville standards although you may notice that coffee is not mentioned, niether is moe's. thats sad. now we head off for atlantic for yet another free beer and dance music night. it will be fun. we will drink. dancing will depend on how much drinking goes on though. i also hear that there may be a party to attend somewhere after hours. sweet dude.

i should also add that this week has been completely awesome. there's been music. and fun. and i feel like a lot has been accomplished. its a good day

i would like to announce to the world that last night a drunk female took a shot from corey easterbrooks belly. fuzzy navel indeed.

i don't ever want to hear another woman complain about guys and thier bathroom skills. ok yes i admit that your average mens room is really just gross. its true and we can't hide from that. but last night i was in a gas station in a really nice area of west palm beach. the kind of place where people live in hotels that cost more per night than i make in a month. the kind of place where there's no one bumming change because you'll either be arrested right away or its just too far away from regular society.

so yeah it was 2AM and i had to go bad and the mens was locked. bingo use the womens. i even lifted the seat cause i was feeling courteous and just glad to have an open restroom. so when i lift the seat what do i see. poo. thats right i said it. there was poo on the rim of the toilet. not only that but it looked like some sad attempt had been made by its mother at cleaning it. and all i have to say about that is...sweet dude. and don't give me shit. cause i know what you ladies are really like.


so this was what i got to ponder for the next two hours while driving home via FL-80

big moron. that works too much. although i've had a little reflection time this weekend. and i've come to the conclusion that i'm a big moron


and that i'm gonna be a monk. again.
